Those Japanese are a funny bunch. Their recipe for a game show is quite simple: Say a tongue twister without any mistakes or get whacked in the kiwis.
Another Japanese game show recipe is to go to the library and draw cards to see who has to do the painful and/or unpleasant activity.
They also enjoy practical jokes, such as this sauna where you enjoy a few seconds in a massage chair before it dumps you out in the snow, or the chair turns into a rocket-powered sled, sending you careening down the slopes.
Lastly, this one isn’t Japanese, but it’s claimed to be the fastest street legal car that runs on pump gas (although it gets a paultry 5 miles to the gallon.) It’s called the Red Victor One, a 1971 Vauxhall Victor powered by a 2,200 bhp, twin-turbo 9.8-liter V8. Built by Andy Frost, a 45-year-old Brit who estimates he’s pumped about $187,000USD into the car, the Victor One is a street legal drag car capable of reaching 60 mph in 1 second and running the quarter mile in 7.8 seconds at 183.07 mph.
