plucker

I hadn’t done much with my PDA for a while, but I learned about Plucker and decided to try it out. Plucker allows you to download web pages to your PDA so you can read them offline. I gave it the list of links from my blogroll and it downloaded each of their front pages, allowing me to read my blog roll offline on my palm pilot.

I know I’m quite late to the game, and everyone else is probably already doing it with their PDAs but I thought it was pretty nifty.

  1. I haven’t used Plucker for a long time, but I really like that idea for what to do with it. I may have to give it a try again.

  2. AvantGo has been around for ages and did a similar thing. I used it occasionally on my Palm V. I find it much quicker and more convenient to read news and blogs on a regular screen, though. I’d probably find that useful if I commuted via train or something, though.
