worst movies ever

It may not be at the top of the bottom list, but my #1 worst movie, Battlefield Earth, got more votes for the worst movie of all time than any other on IMBD’s Bottom 100 list. It’s nice to know my bad movie radar agrees with over twelve thousand other people.

I’m curious to see some of the movies in the list for entertainment value. It could also be good fodder for MST3K-like banter. I noticed that Police Academy 4, 5 and 6 are all listed, as well as Police Academy: Mission to Moscow.

  3. Are you saying it’s a good movie?

I’ve never seen it, but these user comments don’t sound good. I also read on Ask Yahoo that at the first showing of Manos, which took place in an El Paso theater, the audience’s non-stop laughter caused the cast and crew to leave the show early. Since then, the film has become “the yardstick by which all bad movies are measured.”

  4. Yeah, I’d throw my vote Battlefied Earth’s way. Though “Greece” is up there. And so is “She’s So Lovely” and “Look Who’s Talking Now” and “Thin Red Line” and “Staying Alive” and “Saturday Night Fever” and “Phenomena”. Um I guess you could say that I’m not such a big John Travalta fan.

  5. I couldn’t believe Catwoman is already on the list. I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard Halle Berry is the only thing worth watching there.

  6. Steve: I do sense a negative vibe from you towards Mr. Travolta. Not that I like the man much myself…

Cameron: I too was surprised at the new movies on the list. I guess they just stunk it up from the start.

  7. Nothing but Trouble is the worst movie ever made. I’m not sure I’ve seen anything as bad.

  8. I couldn’t help but notice that a lot of those are sequels. Holywood should pay more attention to that fact.

I can’t believe that “Titanic” wasn’t on the list.

  9. I just ran across a Wikipedia entry listing the worst films ever made.

Based on loss of money, there’s also box office bombs and list of movies generating losses.
