A recent blog survey found that bloggers are a fickle bunch. 66.0% of the surveyed blogs had not been updated in two months, representing 2.72 million blogs that have been either permanently or temporarily abandoned. Those of you who continue to update your blogs are a welcome exception to that statistic.

I saw a site once that linked to a bunch of “dead” stuff on the web. For instance, a page for New Year’s party announcement from 1994.
The web kind of becomes our collective hard drive full of old docs, half completed memos and the like. No one really thinks about it until his or her server starts running out of space. It takes awhile to get to that point anymore.
The page Renee mentioned sounds interesting – sort of like a “best of Archive.org” or something.
Once again, Dan has his finger on the pulse of the web.
