fun with fusion

Craig Wallace, a freshman at Utah State, built a nuclear fusion reactor based on the plans of Utah native Philo T. Farnsworth (inventor of the television). It’s fitting homage to Farnsworth for a TV to display the small sun that exists inside the reactor. (via /.)

  1. Fusor.net is kind of devoted to the “home physicist”. Good for building a fusion reactor. It would be kind of fun to actually build one…but maybe I’ll wait until I’m done having kids. ;)

  2. I’m building one… it’s an incredible amount of fun and one learns alot while doing this – everything from nuclear physics to electricity.
