a tiny fish in the ocean

“Just when you think you’re winning the rat race, along come faster rats.”

I couldn’t believe I managed to win 13 straight games of Freecell. Then I learned that Bob Moorehead had a 68,300-game winning streak.

I was overjoyed with my score of 56,130 on Bejeweled. Then I saw Yvette had scored 96,892,200.

Globalization can be a humbling experience.

  1. In moments like this I follow the wisdom of Homer Simpson, “You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try”.

  2. According to my uncle, who has years of monitoring free cell statistics on his own pc, over time you will win an average of 66% of the time. I check our free cell stats occaisonally and I tend to agree.

Those people who win on a streak like that are insane (as pure genius tends to be)!

My question is, is every free cell game winable?

I hardly every play it anymore though because SPIDER SOLITAIRE RULES!

  3. According to the forum freecell game 11982 is not winnable.

I’ve never played spider solitaire. Maybe it’s for the best.

  4. You MUST succumb to the lure of the spider solitaire web. It is wickedly challenging as you add multiple suits (suites?) to the mix.

    Try it. I dare you.

  5. But that’s exactly why I don’t want to try it. I have enough things to do, I don’t need a wickedly challenging (and therefore addicting) game too.

    I reject your dare.

  9. Renee you must stop doing this. It is extremely difficult to ignore a triple dog dare, nigh impossible, but I’m going to try.

  14. From what I’ve heard Spider Solitaire is the wickedest game out there. I’m fond of Freecell myself, but having never played Spider Solitaire, I’m not qualified to say.

  15. Does anyone know where I can get the version of Spider Solitaire that came bundled with “Windows ME” in late 2000 or early 2001. I no longer have that software and can’t locate that version of Spider.

  16. I found a site that offers the one suit and two suit versions of spider solitaire just like the ones that come with Microsoft’s Windows ME and XP. They can be downloaded here.
