successful google listing

I received an email today from a guy wanting to know how to get listed on Google. My response was that it takes time and effort. Google optimizes their algorithm constantly to keep people from finding and using loopholes or quick fixes. The best solution is to play by the rules and provide plenty of fresh, relative, useful content.

Brett Tabke’s article, “Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone” goes into more detail about what that means to someone creating a web site. If you want to have a solid listing in Google, this is a must read.

  1. All he needs is a site on Blogspot. I suspect it is because Google owns Blogger that my site seems to rank so high for people looking for “Albino Farm” information.

  3. What a coincidence, I read an article that Brett Tabke had written about a month ago on the ethnic graduations in college. In both cases he had alot of good information. Thanks for passing it on Dan. I think the biggest flag for me was keeping page size to a minimum.

  4. I think that article must be one of the most often read articles on Google ever. I see it is in that Googles Hacks book too.
