funny meditation

Meditation can be a great way to relax and reduce stress or tension. You don’t need anything but a place to relax and if you’re tired, a 10-minute meditation can give your body a chance to recuperate.

Laughter is another way to achieve similar results. Studies have shown it can reduce stress, relieve pain, improve immunity and reduce blood pressure.

Hence my brilliant idea is to combine the two by creating humorous meditation. I realize it’s a stroke of pure genius and others will be clamoring to claim the idea was theirs, but remember, you heard it here first.

The meditation manual (via mefi) provides detailed instructions to get the most out of your meditations. I’ll leave you to your own devices to find something that makes you laugh.

  2. Have you heard of the transcendal meditation people in Fairfield, Iowa? They have a big college there. Oh, and they always have someone on the presidential ticket as the “Natural Law” party.

    Anyway, there was a thing on tv that showed them meditating while laughing and allegedly levitating themselves whilst doing this in a cross-legged position.

    Curses. The transcendal meditators in Fairfield, Iowa have one-upped me with the levitation. I’ve got nothing to beat levitation while laughing, meditating and sitting indian style. Nothing.
