first mention of blog by Calvin?

I was just viewing my daily comics today and noticed that while Calvin was impersonating a monster during show-and-tell, he unwittingly used the word ‘blog’ (see the fourth box).

Calvin and Hobbes, March 29, 1994

Methinks the Wikipedia entry for Blog could use an update.

  1. Man, I miss Calvin. By the way, sorry for not responding to your comment about TCH (my host). Yea, I’m still happy though a couple of times I did consider a change. But I think I’ll be staying for a while.

  2. Will: Thanks for the response. I’m always on the lookout for good web hosting.

  3. When I read the title of this entry in RSSOwl, I was expecting to see something totally different, but none the less, very amusing. :) I’m with will on this, I really do miss Calvin and Hobbes. I downloaded the whole archives, but it isn’t same as having the whole book collection. I think I should go out and buy the whole set. I believe amazon has a box set for around $90 (maybe more)

  4. I know I should e-mail you, but please forgive me for being wicked lazy at the moment. What’s funny is I think that you may have been the one who brought this hosting company to my attention. But on the possibility that it was someone else, bluehost was recommended to me (most likely by you). ;)

    Cheers!

  5. Will: I am the one that mentioned that to you. I’ve never used it, but it seems like a good deal as long as they provide good quality service.

  6. Will, I was going to go with Bluehost, but for some reason I decided not to. They seem like a good host though. You should also look at Dreamhost. They seem like a really good host and I’ve only heard good things of them. A lot of web designers (namely Keith) seem to like them very much.
