Cool, Dan. Thanks for the heads up. I was trying out Kstars, KDE’s Desktop Planetarium just the other day at school. Now I have something to track with it.
One of the nifty things about Kstars is that you can set the clock for the day an hour that you are going to view the sky, set the position of the view (say directly North) and then not only see all of the planets and constellations that will be in view at that given time, but take a snapshot of the view as well. Pretty slick.

You’re welcome. During an outdoor concert Saturday night I looked up at the sky in an attempt to locate Mars but I didn’t locate it.
