wrong number
On my way to work I saw a semi with G.O.D written in huge letters across the side of the trailer and 1800dialgod.com below. My curiosity was peaked. At first I thought it might have something to do with Bruce Almighty. It didn’t make much sense, but I’d read about the woman suing the producers for using her phone number in the movie and thought there might be some strange connection.
My hunch was wrong. It’s just a guaranteed overnight delivery service who uses a decidedly memorable acronym.
Indeed, G.O.D. has been around for a long time! I haven’t seen any of their trucks recently, but I saw them many years ago.
Woh, the letters are huge too. Their site provides some humor too. Links to

Speaking of movie/phone number connections, I watched “Adaptation” last night. There was a phone number after selecting an icon on the dvd menu to call. My husband called but when someone answered, he hung up. The chicken.
Yes, It is a quite humourous company. I’ve been working here for 5 years, and still haven’t gotten used to being called “GOD” on the CB radio. As well as the “GOD” jokes…you tend to get sick of them after the first couple of…minutes. But, all in all, it’s not a bad company. I was never religious prior to working here. Now I pray my pay check doesn’t bounce.
