  1. Whoa. I figure there’s a trick to this, but I can’t figure it out. I thought that perhaps they assumed you would hover the mouse over the number you were thinking of and they would determine the final from that, but this is too weird.

  2. Dude, all the cards from the hand are missing, not just the one you chose. (duh)

… and with the “Flash Mind Reader” … it’s not brain surgery… when you click the crystal ball you’ll notice you get a new page with different symbols for the numbers. For each particular page, ALL CHOICES WORK OUT TO HAVE THE SAME SYMBOL… THE ONE THAT IS TO BE DISPLAYED NEXT TIME YOU CLICK ON THE CRYSTAL BALL.

  3. You’re correct on the card trick.

The flash trick is based on a mathematical principal. More discussion can be found at Mefi.

  4. I cant believe there is so much written about this cleaver but very simple puzzle.I saw the solution in about 5 minutes;maybe it requires a person with average to low IQ to solve the algorithm.

  6. The formula to compute the number is always divisible by nine. On the chart, all but two of the multiples of nine have the same symbol. The reason for this is that you’ll never get 90 and 99, so they can have a different symbol.

In short, the multiples of nine will all have the same symbol, but that symbol will be changed each time you reload.

  7. that mind reader is so easy!!! i cant believe how confused some people got. it is so simple all the numbers in each group(20, 30, 40, 50 ect…) all equal the same number so all the different numbers they can equal have the same symbol which changes each time you try again. duh!

  8. All symbols of 9 multiples are same.

If you subtract any number from any number, you will get the multiple of nine.

You can only get these numbers if you subtract any number from any number:
    9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90.
