digital piano
My new Yamaha Clavinova CLP120 was delivered today. I’ve been planning to buy a digital piano for a number of months because I want to improve my piano playing skills and this past Tuesday I finally bought one.
Some of the features I like best are the keyboard cover (like a real piano), weighted keys and the 50 built in songs. It came with sheet music for the songs so I can practice them and know how they should sound when played correctly. It also came with a pair of headphones so I can play at 3am without bother anyone. The next challenge is keeping a regular practice schedule.
Oh, I’m so jealous. I covet your digital piano. ;-) You’re going to have to invite us over for Christmas carol singing now!

How’d you manage that challenge? Are you a virtuoso now?
I did pretty well at first, and as I passed it a few minutes ago I thought to myself, “You need to practice more.” Thanks for the reminder.
We are thinking about buying a clp 120 for our daughter. we would appreciate any comments about this model and any info you would feel comfortable sharing regarding the price you paid for the piano.
Thank you.
The piano is great. It sounds good, the keys feel just like a real piano and I’ve had no problems with it. A minor complaint is that when you play the 50 built-in songs randomly or all in succession, there’s no way to stop the song to find out which one it was. That’s about all I can think of that I don’t like.
I don’t remember the exact price, but I think it was $2200. I’ll have to check.
I just checked my receipt and it was $1895 + tax, totalling $2020.
Your price is very good Dan. Won’t you mind to let us know your source. We plan to buy one for our girl.
I bought mine at the Piano Gallery, a local shop that delivered it to my house.
