utah voter registration

Elections in Utah are fast approaching and since I moved a few months after registering, I needed to find out where to reregister. I found a National Mail Voter Registration Form (PDF) and the FEC site may be of use to those outside of Utah, but if you happen to live in Utah, there is more detailed information about registering to vote. It took me a while to figure out exactly what you have to do and where to do it, so for Utahns, hopefully this information will be of use.

1. Print out the Mail-In Voter Registration Form (PDF)

2. Mail it to your County Clerk. It must be postmarked at least 20 days before the election. (November 5, 2002)

3. Find out where you should go to vote once your name is registered.

4. This November 5th go to your polling location and vote.

As an aside, I forgot to change the address on my Utah driver’s license when I moved but instead of calling I was able to use utah.gov. It was very convenient.

  1. Thanks for doing all this research for me. Now I won’t have any more reasong (other than laziness, of course) to keep putting that stuff off. ;)
