bread crumb trails

I’m linking to 7nights.com for two reasons:

One, I was interested in the value of bread crumb trails on web sites.

Two, I like the navigation menu. At first glance I thought it might be images and javascript, but viewing the source showed it was done with CSS.

  1. I’d never heard of this before, but I think I’ve seen it. Are you familiar with Tribe.net? I think they use breadcrumb navigation.

  2. 7nights.com?

I always new it as dkeithrobinson.com and it forwards me to Asterik.

I do love that blog though… Dr. Keith Robinson always writes the best entries relating to Flash and Web Design and more.

    *sigh* CSS… beyond my knowledge : \

  3. Fanteja — I’ll save Daniel the hassle: if you hold your cursor over CSS, you’ll see that it’s Cascading Style Sheets. And I have to believe that this will work for most anyone, because I’m viewing his page with an outdated browser and OS.

  4. Meredith: Hundreds of sites use bread crumbs for navigation. In fact, our beloved DMOZ uses them extensively.

Fanteja: You’re right, it does forward to dkeithrobinson.com. For some reason I had the 7nights link.
