Humorous flash movies and anything that’s fun and entertaining.
Avast ye scurvy mateys! Today be Talk Like a Pirate Day and here be a video fer ya. Yarrrrrr… P.S. The above be cleaned. In the original (with 114 million views!) they swore like a sailor. E’en though it be talk like a pirate day, it didn’t seem proper.
If you had the chance to speak to 20,000 people, what would you say? It’s not just a hypothetical question. ListServe is a mailing list whose sole purpose is to allow one randomly selected member a day send out an email of their choosing, and it’s an intriguing idea. I’ve been a member for about […]
My fellow Seinfeld fans, there is a myth that has been perpetuated too long. You know the one I’m talking about. Heck, in weaker times even I succumbed to its sweet siren song. But the myth is wrong, no matter how many think otherwise. It’s time to set the record straight. The myth states that […]
If you find yourself cheering for the underdog, watch this video. It’s not always pretty, but keep watching. It’s worth it. The video has grown so popular an entire site was created about it.
Chat Roulette lets you chat with complete strangers (Warning: Some chatters are pervs and display things that will make your eyes bleed!). Merton does piano improv with random, unsuspecting strangers on Chat Roulette and has become a viral sensation on YouTube. The original video had over 4 million views, but he had to modify it […]
Here is a pig I drew. It’s supposed to reveal what kind of person I am. I think it’s a load of garbage. However, the pigs in the gallery from other folks (who must have had a tablet) are very impressive. Draw your own pig here
Kind of a catchy tune, don’t you think?
I ran across Door Sixteen’s mouse path and was curious to try it out myself. To use it, download and run the jar, then leave the window open (minimizing it caused the image to be deleted) and press S with the window focused to save an image of it when you’re ready. Here’s mine from […]
Barbara sent in this doozy. I have yet to figure it out. What is the missing number? 6, 9, 27, 54, ?, 2241 Anyone have any ideas? When you’re nearly comatose from over consumption of Thanksgiving’s finest, figure this out to give your brain some exercise.
This article has several other examples of John Pugh’s work. He’s a mural artist who has created an impressive array of realistic-looking murals. He often adds people to the mural to heighten to the 3D effect. Pugh is quoted as saying, “It seems almost universal that people take delight in being visually tricked.” He’s right.
In the “Why Didn’t I Think of That” category, here’s a novel idea for game rooms or bedrooms, or maybe even kitchens or bathrooms if you’re eccentric. A door that doubles as a ping pong table.
This is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. Man Babies has pictures of a man and a baby with swapped heads. From the textual description you might think it’s disturbing and wrong, but man are some of them funny. Here are a few examples. (via Techcrunch)
Jam Legend is a guitar hero lookalike with a social spin to it. I signed up a while ago but never did much on the site. Then today, out of the blue, I was challenged to a duel on Gives You Hell (a song I’ve never heard of before). Not one to turn down a […]
The classic children’s book “Where the Wild Things Are” is being made into a movie. Here’s the trailer. In keeping with the children’s book to movie theme, here’s a trailer for “Everyone Poops”
Given that kids touch every germ-filled item they can find, the swine may be on the losing end of this little encounter.
This is pretty funny. Auto Tuning from Casey D on Vimeo. Waxy Links
I laugh every time I watch these outtakes from Ricky Gervais and Elmo. It gets funnier every time I watch it, especially when Elmo can’t stop laughing. It got me thinking about who does Elmo’s voice and puppeteering. A quick jaunt to Wikipedia revealed the answer. Would you believe it’s this guy? In this interview […]
This YouTube video of a kid after going to the dentist has become surprisingly popular. I wondered what all the buzz was about because it’s not all that amusing. Now I see why we needed the first one – so we could see this one. Chad Vader is brilliant.
Here’s another one I got yesterday. 2 4 3 5 6 8 9 7 11 10 12 13 14 15 16 18 17 20 21 22 19 24 23 26 25 28 29 27 What’s the next number?
I often receive riddles from people who think that since I compiled a bunch of riddles on my site, I must be able to solve them. While not entirely logical, the practice has made me better at solving them. I received one the other day that stumped me. The email said in part, “My friend […]
The world needs to know!
Take this test to see how well you can distinguish colors (or if your monitor is well-calibrated). (Note: You may have to select your country first) A lower score is better, with 0 being the perfect score. The bars above show the regions of the color spectrum where hue discrimination is low. Colene emailed me this word puzzle saying she was stumped. I was stumped myself. I found a list of 4-letter anagrams but none had 5 words. Besides, none of the 4 word combinations made sense. I found longer combinations on Yahoo answers, but none were satisfactory. Even plentiful use of the Anagram Server didn’t reveal […]
Remember the famous Take on Me music video? I wrote about Family Guy’s modification, and here I am writing about yet another alteration. Here is the music video, taken literally. The same folks did a literal version of Head over Heels too. Pure comedy genius! I hope they do more songs.
Ahoy! Teday be Talk Like a Pirate Day matey. If’n ye be talkin’ normal like ye be a scurvy bilge rat.
Microsoft has produced two new commercials so far that are garnering lots of comments. Some hate them, others love them, still others are amused. Those who remain don’t give a rats behind. I’d lump myself in the amused crowd. Seinfeld is funny and it’s fun to see Gates in such odd situations. Here they are.
The BBC has a fun, six question Math Quiz. I only answered three out of six correctly. See if you can do better. Take the quiz
Over four years ago I wrote about a game I’d found where you had to identify the logos of restaurants. The bummer is the site that hosted the game (along with several other variations on the same theme) is now defunct. But you needn’t despair. I found a new logo game for you to play. […]
PMOG is a passively multiplayer online game I’ve been playing for a few months. It’s less of a game in and of itself and more of a game of using the internet. You earn 2 DP (data points) for every domain you visit. You can place mines on sites so another PMOGger’s browser shakes all […]
Bomomo is a flash application that enables you to create bee-yutiful works of art from your browser. (via Webware)
I wrote about a web site that let you see what celebrity you look like in 2006. I’ve found a new site that does the same thing. I wasn’t all that impressed with the other one, given that it didn’t even get the gender right, so I was pleased to see Picitup Celebrity Match lets […]
The idea behind ManBabies.com is simple. Swap heads of men and babies then display the resulting image. How they came up with the idea is beyond me. It’s frighteningly bizarre, but intriguing at the same time.
You have 15 minutes to name all the elements. That was hard. I’m embarrassed by my poor performance, so I won’t share it. After the 2 minute mark I came up empty. I just saw the United States test where you get 10 minutes to name all 50 states. While I didn’t get all of […]
Here are a bunch of quizzes that are fun to take, but I wouldn’t put much stock in the results. The “how many X can you name in 5 minutes” seem like they’d be easy, but I quickly slowed down after 45 seconds to a minute. How many HTML elements can you name in 5 […]
Rinkworks has done it again. First it was The Dialectizer, now it’s Movie a Minute. The idea is simple. Provide short (and I do mean short) summaries of movies. Here’s Citizen Kane. Orson Welles: Rosebud. (dies) Reporter: What does it mean? Everybody Else: We don’t know. THE END Classic.
Some of these pictures are funny in their own right. The captions make them hilarious.
This was pretty funny. (via Aaron Wall)
If the world’s fastest speed walker was chased by five angry samurai with swords, would he walk or run? The Japanese decided to find out. http://view.break.com/392848 – Watch more free videos (via techamok)
View At is the most impressive panoramic photo viewer I’ve seen. You can set it to full screen and spin all the way around as if you were actually standing where the photographer stood.
Argh matey, it be the day to talk like a pirate. Avast and argh.
This video transcends words.
This trick was pretty cool. Take a look.
I tried uploading a few pictures to Simpsonize Me but it mocked my photo and refused to load it. Okay, it didn’t mock my photo, but it returned a snarky retort saying that it failed to load and to try again. I tried again. And again. And again. Michael Calore of Wired got it to […]
Do you know how walkable your neighborhood is? You can find out here. Most of the places I’ve lived haven’t been very walkable. (via reddit)
This is cool. And so is this. (via digg)
Here’s the Spanish Castle Illusion. Look at the black dot for a few seconds, then mouse over the image. Until you move your eyes, it’s in color. Too bad there wasn’t something like this for black and white TV.
I realize that videos of the Star Wars kid got old real fast, but this one was especially well done. I love the reactions of Luke and Obi Wan. It’s as if they’re really watching the kid do his thing. And the music is great.
If you ever have the urge to play the drums and you don’t have a drum set handy, this is the site for you.
