Find Your New Favorite Music

Music-Map.com asks you to enter the name of a music artist. It then produces a tree of artists where the proximity indicates the degree of similarity.

For example, Armin Van Buuren pulled up DJ Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk, artists I already know of and like that are similar to Armin.

  1. Wow, that is very cool. I like how you can sort of watch it sort itself out.

It’s cool, because sometimes I’ll find a kind of eclectic musician that I really like, but have no idea how to find something similar.

    This’ll be awesome. ;)

  2. I agree, the settling out part is kind of fun to watch, and I’ve already found a few new artists to check out using this. It’s especially useful to find lesser known artists. It’s fairly complete from what I’ve seen. Then again, Levi could probably come up with strange artists it doesn’t have.
