Matt Mullenweg, creator of WordPress, announced a little shindig in San Francisco to be held on August 5th. He’s dubbed it WordCamp and even set up a site at wordcamp.org.

Since I’m within reasonable driving distance, I’m planning to go and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll get to meet lots of people I’ve heard about online or whose blogs I’ve read but have never met in person. The list of attendees keeps on growing too, so it looks to be quite a day.

Plus, they’re giving out a free t-shirt!
