music to help you fall asleep

I know several people who have a hard time falling asleep and at times have suggested they try using a relaxation CD. I own one that has done a good job of helping me to relax for going to sleep called Meditation Made Simple, narrated by John Daniels. Sadly, the CD hasn’t always worked as well for others as I had hoped, so I was on the lookout for other solutions to help people fall asleep.

One such solution may be listening to the streams of soothing music at sleepbot.com. They play music to help you sleep, which means if you have trouble falling asleep and have a computer with internet access in your bedroom, you could try it out. You could also record the music, then play it back as you drift off to a sweet slumber. I think it’s mighty kind of sleepbot.com to provide such a service.

I listened to their music for a bit just to try it out and it was very. . .*yawn*. . .relaxing.

  1. Hey, thanks, Dan — this is a lot like the music I use for yoga . . . only this is free. Can’t tell ya how much I like free.

  2. Hmm… I have trouble with the ‘Internet Access Computer In My Room’ because the fans are so loud.

But when working or writing or coding or engaging in some activity that requires brainpower, I do like Blue FM. It’s not as distracting as my usual pop-rock playlist, but it provides a nice ambiance.
