geek watch

This watch, made by Xonix, can store 256MB of data (more than you could store on 175 3.5″ floppy disks). A USB cord is tucked away in the wristband for uploading or downloading data.

Geeky yes, but it’s so cool.

  2. Imagining the USB cable tucked in somewhere had me picturing a “See and Say” toy. Remember those? Maybe they could make a watch like that where you pull the cord and it shows a short mpeg movie on the face. LOL

  3. The most noticeable difference between “Geeky” watches and this watch is the look. It’s actually a nice looking watch. Maybe someday they’ll create a normal watch with a fliptop clock face that has the calculator face underneath. It’s geeky without appearing geekly.

  4. Reminds me of when I bought a 100 MB IDE HD and thought it was just SOOOOOO big compard to the old MFM and RLL drives…. now you can get 2 1/2 times that in a watch….

  5. Personally I rather like USB flash memory keychains(I hate wearing watches). As a geek, what I’d really like is a ring which had a stone that would change colors depending on whether I was in range of an open Wi-Fi network. Yes I knwo that that is sad, but hey, I already put in the I’m a geek disclaimer at the beginning.

  6. Casio has had the flip top watch for years. It was a Telememo watch underneath.

Is this USB watch water resistant to 100m? I can imagine the USB connector getting all gunked up in everyday use.
