Brain.fm for Coding Focus

You know when you need to focus but your mind keeps coming up with reasons not to? If you’re anything like me, you could use help getting in the zone every now and then (more like daily).

Brain.fm

I’ve been using Brain.fm for the past few weeks and it’s like the mythical Focusyn on the Simpsons (except for the side effects).

Brain.fm touts itself as Music for the Brain, but it’s much more than music. It lets you pick your reason for listening from the following list:

  1. Focus
  2. Relax
  3. Sleep

And there are lots of variations you can choose from within each of those, even guided meditation or an 8-hour sleep aid. But the biggest impact it’s had for me is the focus. I can start a 1-hour focus session, put on my headphones and my brain seems to understand it’s go time. An hour later and I’m not sure where the time went but I’ve usually gotten a lot done.

I’m not shilling for them nor do I get anything if you sign up, I’m just pleased with my results and wanted to share.

You can try them out for free, or within the next 2 days you can get a lifetime subscription for $39 at the Digg Store. It looks like you can also use the coupon code EARLYBF15 to get an additional 15% off.

It’s well worth it if you could use help focusing.
