Your Custom Internet Radio Station

Have you listened to music on the radio recently? It’s so full of ads and promotions that there’s little time left for the music.

Have you ever wanted to listen to music by a particular artist?

Have you ever heard a song on the radio but didn’t know who sang it?

Jango has commercial-free listening of whatever artist you want and always displays the artist and title of the songs it plays.

In a previous post I showed you how to listen to any song you could think of. Jango takes it one step further by playing the artist you request, then choosing similar artists it thinks you might like. The recommendations are usually quite good.

Jango does all this by creating a personalized radio station. I’ve only been using it for a few days but I’ve already found new artists I like. There’s a social networking aspect to connect you to others with similar music tastes but I haven’t used that much.

The site is free and you don’t even have to sign up to try it out. Just type in an artist and put on your headphones. You wouldn’t want to bother your cube mates (rule #2).

Enjoy.
