How to speed up del.icio.us

If you use del.icio.us and have lots of tags, you might have noticed that the pages take a long time to load. I just discovered a very easy way to dramatically decrease the time it takes to load the pages.

Go to the very bottom of the tags on the right and collapse them. The page will now load in 1/100th of the time it used to. If you still want to see your tags, but want pages to load faster, you can set the minimum links per tag to 5 instead of 1. In my case that reduced the number of tags significantly. Lastly, I highly recommend viewing the tags as a cloud instead of a list. My bookmark pages used to take 10-15 seconds to load and with these changes they now take less than 3 or 4 seconds.
