fluffernutters

I’m a big fan of fluffernutters, but whenever I’ve mentioned them to people outside of the northeastern US, I’ve gotten strange looks. I was once talking with a group of people who all used the term as a euphemism for farting, which resulted in several smirks when I talked about how much I liked them.

In any case, for the uninitiated, fluffernutters are simply sandwiches made of marshmallow fluff and peanut butter. I didn’t realize it was specific to the area where I grew up until I went elsewhere and found that no one knew what they were.

I also learned about some legislation that threatened to restrict the delicious sandwiches from elementary school.

Thankfully he was ridiculed enough to drop it.
