I had never heard of Michael Gartner before, but he’s had a very prolific career, including winning the pulitzer prize in 1997 for editorial writing. In any case, regardless of his past accomplishments, I really enjoyed reading a piece he wrote about his parents, titled A life without left turns.

He’s a fantastic writer.
