testing your site on different browsers

I have a list of ideas that I’d like to implement (I use MediaWiki, the same software that runs wikipedia.org, to manage all of my lists and things I want to remember. It’s turned out quite nicely).

But back to my original point. On the list of things to implement, I had the idea to create “A service where people register their OS, browser combination and are willing to post screenshots, give feedback on how the design looks etc. for those designers who don’t have access to all the different combinations.”

I had that idea a few years ago, and haven’t taken any steps to implement it, but thankfully someone else has.

I give you browsershots.org.

I tried it several times but I never got results for my sites, however there are screenshots of some sites, so it’s working for some people in the queue. Plus, I really like those long screenshots that show the whole length of the page as its scrolled down.
