return to blogging

As you may have noticed, I didn’t end up posting much last semester, and while I missed it, I wasn’t sure I would have much time to do much (if any) blogging this semester either. Then I attended the first day of my Ethics and Computers In Society class, and things changed.

You see, one of our assignments is to write a blog entry. We don’t have to run a blog, so the assignment is essentially to write one well-written paragraph in response to assigned readings related to a given topic, much as you would if you had a blog. However, the professor offered extra credit to anyone that posts their assignments on a real live blog. So, not only will I be posting at least a few blog entries this semester, I’ll get extra credit for doing it. And who knows, once I begin posting my writing assignments from class, I may get back into the swing of things and post a few of my own for the pure joy of it all.
