currency conversion

A few days ago I wanted to convert British pounds to dollars and I thought Google’s calculator could do it, but I couldn’t get it to work so I ended up using a currency conversion site.

Today I found out why I couldn’t get convert currency with the Google calculator: they just added support for converting currency. I just tried it and it worked great. You just use regular English, like 5 dollars to pounds, and it does the rest (it’s 2.86 pounds by the way).

  1. I love XE.com, I have no idea why!

  2. Dan — I’ve been away for a bit, and am catching up on posts and such. I wondered why it was that you were looking to convert British pounds to dollars; I assume you only wanted to convert mathematically, not actually(?).

  3. An amount was listed in pounds and I wanted to know what it was in USD.
