get rid of your old cell phone

If you have an old cell phone you want to get rid of and don’t want the hassle of selling it on eBay, you may want to try OldCellPhone.com.

I compared the prices they’ll pay with what you’re likely to get on Ebay for the same phone and with the phones I looked at, on average you would get a little more money on Ebay ($5-$10). However, it may be worth it since all you do is drop your phone in the mail (OldCellPhone.com sends you a shipping label so it doesn’t cost you anything) and wait for the check within 30 days.

I’ve never used the service, so I can’t vouch for them, but it sounds like a good deal. If anyone has used their service, I’d be interested in knowing how it worked for you.

  1. I think I’ll try this. I have 3-4 phones sitting at home doing nothing. I don’t know how much they’re worth, but one was hardly used.

  2. Hmm, on second thought, their idea of “old” and mine are different. They don’t take many old models.
