zug is one funny site

I love to find things that make me laugh and that’s what happened when I read a few of John Hargrave’s pranks.

The most recent one I ran across is the Credit Card Prank II, which is a follow-up to his original Credit Card Prank. In both of them, he makes up signatures (like ‘My Butt’ and Shamu, both adorned with lovely illustrations) in an effort to see if people will check them. (Hint: People don’t check them.)

I thought the hilarity of those would be hard to beat, but then I read the Turnpike Prank, a phone call to I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt complaining that he can believe it’s Yogurt and the PowerPoint presentation prank which had me in stitches. He even found a way to make the senate humorous.

Not only is his writing funny, but he has access to other funny items, like this MP3 he calls, “Oh Holy Crap.”

In short, if you like to laugh, Zug is a great site to visit.

  2. That’s going on my daily reads list. I probably laughed hardest at the quote from Marc Andreessen – “You have a problem with the guy in the next cubicle? I don’t care. Shoot him or something.

It’s funny because it’s true. Funny and true.

  3. Heh, I guess I was unique in actually looking at the back of a card when I worked retail. I only ever asked about it if it said SEE ID or ASK FOR ID though.

Hey, on an unrelated note, what plugin do you have doing the 2+3 captcha? I’ve switched my diet blog to WP 1.5 and I like that version of captcha (as opposed to visual verification captchas).

  4. Meredith: I wrote it myself and I haven’t made it into a plugin (yet). I also haven’t upgrade to 1.5, which I have been meaning to do for quite some time now.
