Have you emptied your trash? You could also search for e-mails with attachments and delete those. If you've erased almost all your stored mail, then you might have a few e-mails with huge attachments.

You could also remove your sent mail.

I have erased almost all my stored mail!
Still, I only receive limited amount of mail.
Still, this notice "your email could not be sent because you have exceeded your storage quota..." appears every time I try to send a mail!
Still, "You are currently using 2858 MB (99%) of your 2858 MB." stays written in red!
What should I do to keep using my gmail account.
Many thanks in advance for a reply to solve my problem.

Help!
Does anyone know what the limit of emails per day is? I seem to have set off Gmail's spam detector. Call me foolish, but I have about 3000 names and I wanted to tell everyone about a few things-some classes I am starting to teach on April 8th AND the fact that I am in a movie which is being submitted to Cannes. (This is my first acting experience and I am the lead! What a surprise!)
Anyway, I set off the spam detector and am now in a jam. I sent two emails to the Gmail powers that be, but who knows what that means?.
I am sorry if this is off track, but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Stephen Black
PSmy account is blacksteps@gmail.com, but for the moment I'll have to reply from another account....

gmailer: Who said it was a bug to have 1000MB? All normal Gmail accounts have 1000MB. It was just a glitch for a day or two when it jumped to 1000000MB.

I have no idea how many hard drives they have.
