scrabble

For you scrabble fans (Jason…) here’s a pretty slick version of Scrabble online. As far as I can tell it only permits one person to play. I guess it would be hard to keep the other people from seeing your letters if you were all playing on one computer.

The short dictionary didn’t like plural words, which was frustrating, but I played anyway. In the game I began I had a score of 124 with 63 tiles to go but got bored. It then occurred to me how helpful the Anagram server would be during a game of scrabble. Tempting, isn’t it?

  1. You can’t use anagrams in scrabble Dan. The GNU version that I have on my laptop you can play against the computer. I sat there for about two minutes waiting for this one to make a move. Ha. Sometimes I make myself laugh.

  2. Have you ever played Literati on Yahoo Games? I’ve been playing that one off and on for the past few weeks against a friend of mine in New York, it’s great fun. But I’m glad you posted one that I can play by myself – I was just thinking late last night that I needed some more practice so I can beat that friend of mine in NYC more often. :)

  3. I’ve never played Literati but I used to play Yahoo Pool for hours at a time. Hmm, now that I mention it, I should go play a few games.
