I played for a couple of seconds and got bored. I was never one for computer games. I once received an atari for christmas and it just sat there. I think it stems from my childhood and seeing my friends sitting for hours in front of those things while I was outside playing. If I’m on the computer I want to be doing something that fulfilling. You’re loss Jason! If you had played Atari like all the other kids, you would understand how pac-man can influence the education of ones’ life. He’s chased by ghosts and he gets to eat a ton. So far… fairly close to real life. But here is where it gets really scary. When he’s a good pac-man and eats his fruit, he actually gets to chase those same ghosts, and get paid for each one he eats. How many other games hit it so close to real life?
I’ve never been into video games for the same reasons. People don’t understand why I’m not interested in Xbox, LAN parties, etc. I’d just rather be doing something else.

Basically, buy a 486… maybe then it’ll be slow enough to cheat. Boring as hell, but slow. *looks back on the 486 days* I had the internet on that baby! Took half an hour to load a page… erm… yeah, better… stop talking now.

Does anyone know who programmed this game? How many levels are there? Personally level 9 was quite tough – I can’t actually score on it. 30255 is my highest score.
Anyone reached level 10 yet? I have not been able to pass level 9 – I’ve scored once on level 9, over a few games…just have not passed it. If you view the source code in notepad, you will see it goes up to 10 only – but dunno if anyone has finished it.
LEVEL 10 IS THE HIGHEST SCRUBS. I’VE SEEN IT WITH NO CHEATS. POSSIBILITY OF SCORING=0.

my best is two wins on lvl9 (done it 3-4 times) and score 37000+something. I’ve cheated my way to lvl10 and it seems that the enemy paddle gets instantly behind the ball whenever you hit it… BUT i’ve noticed a bug in the game: sometimes when the ball has just hit the wall with high velocity before falling on the enemy paddle you score. Can anyone else confirm this? Maybe one can use this “exploit” to beat lvl10.
hi to all, my name is josh, and i programmed the game (curveball) and i can safely tell you that at lvl 15 the ball turns red and spins at twice the rate and at level 17 its turns blue, lvl 18 green, 19 black (really hard to see) and finally level 20 white and the computer has two paddle hitters.

Bullsh–. I throttled my CPU by 80% to slow the game down by 5 times and after playing an hour straight on level 9 not once did the red paddle miss. It’s impossible to get passed level 9, or even get a ball past the red paddle. If you say you did then I say you’re a liar!

I’m playing curveball since 3 month and I think I’ve turned into a freak. My all-time Highscore is 38695. But I’m sure 40000 is possible. I never reached level 10 so far, but that is also possible. I managed to kill the Computer twice in level 9. But lvl 9 is insane, I have to admit.
The secret to beat lvl 9 is to curve the ball from right to left. You have to get the ball bouncing from one side to other as fast as possible. It’s somehow like a lottery then, but if you hit the ball you’ve got good chances to beat the enemy.

I’ve only beaten level 8 one time and i only had one life left. So Level nine took care of me easily. I’m willing to side with Pharon on this. I think to beat level 9 is hard as hell ,but possible. But after that level ten is pretty much unbeatable. Props to you if you beat level 8 and especially if u beat level 9. BTW, high scores don’t matter because you can ace all the way until level 7, diminishing your score. The levels are all that matters.

i think i am dealing with a cheat , he went from an average of 25000 to as he says fluking a score of 37800 twice in a row which i think is pure bullshit , if i recall correctly he said he got to level 11 which if what i read on here is true there isnt a level 11 , i am finding it difficult to call him out as a liar as all it does is make me look like a sore looser but i have been playing this game for a couple of years on my friends forum and been the champion with scores in the range of 33000
i set out with great determination to beat this guy but even though i aced all teh lower levels and doing my best to hit the ball deaqd center of the paddle so you get more points no matter what i did at level nine it became insane although i did manage to hold on a while i couldnt beat teh computer
my system is pretty fast so i went into bios and slowed it down , along with that i took out a stick of ram and also made sure my computer had a full work load on by raring/compressing 3 large iso files of movies each been 4.7gb so that it would slow down my computer long enough to complete the game
what a surprise the game slows down and i mean slows down a lot although a little jerky and you can be caught off guard by this but it is a lot easier to hit the ball dead center getting higher points eachtime you hit it
one thing thati have noticed is that after a certain amount of points has been scored on a level it seems as though it isnt adding points anymore so i am not %100 on this but i think there is only a certain amount of points that can be got on each level
there is as far as i know no way of proving somone has cheated so i will keep my mouth shut on my friends forum and take great pride in the fact that some one was sad enough to actualy need to cheat to prove himself in a piddly little flash game

I have been playing this game for a few years and finally got to level 20 with the black ball. 120,780 points. if you dont believe me comment me and i will load a screen shot me before i start in level 20.

lol to all you people that are saying “f— you theres only 10 levels…blablabla….” to be honest, level 10 is beatable, and after that is does say “level 11″. but the second u hit the ball it glitches to the bottom right corner and you are no longer able to hit it. i know because i cheated my way to level 10 and turned the difficulty down a notch just so i could see for myself :p.
There is a hack that you can reach any level whether 10, 11, 50, 257 with infinite lives.
Follow these steps carefully:
First, play normally until you run out of lives. When it says ‘Game Over’, press ‘Ctrl’ and the left key six times, and you get an extra life. If you happen to beat your opponent, it will still say ‘Game Over’. Just push ‘Ctrl’ and left six times again and you will have another life and the opponent will still lose theirs.
Warning: Even though the game says you have four lives, you only have one. Keep doing this until you get bored and sick of it.
I know a friend who did this and smashed all of your scores. Score: 663920(!!) Level: 34
