no more images

I have dispensed with all images that used to be on each page. There weren’t that many, but they didn’t add much value to the site. The page loads faster now, and the function of the images have been replaced by text. I realize that the images would have been cached in the browser after the first page, but that first time would be slower than it is now, and I prefer to give a zippy first impression. Another benefit is I get to do cool things with style sheets to replace the images.

  1. Have fun Dan :)

  2. I agree with you. Images can be done away with without losing the look or the functionality you once had by being creative with, or just knowing how to apply CSS to make life easier. I’ve just started learning CSS and it’s really great and I’m sure will save me lots of time in the future.
