You must be getting too much traffic, because tulipstats is still free for me. One thing you could do, is to go in on buying Webstats with several other people to minimize the cost, though I don't know if chatologica would be cool with that.

I thought they might have axed a few users from the Top Members list, but I was #2 and #1 is still there. Maybe they just didn't like me.

On their signup page it says, "New signups for the free TulipStats Web Tracking Service are no Longer being accepted. After February 1, 2003, only premium (paid) TulipStats accounts will be offered."

I don't think chatalogica would have any problem with that. After all, that's what other stats services are doing by charging monthly fees. He might not be happy if it were installed on different servers though.

Whaddya know, pagestat has already gone down with a mysql error. Their login is no longer valid, and it's been like that since yesterday.

Chatologica WebStats SQL v1.0.6 is only a very poor copy of Hitbox features...
Tough WebStats SQL is really better than other stats scripts I saw until now, but still weak compared to Hitbox.

I agree, Hitbox was an excellent service. I didn't like having to display their full-size banner that always had online casino ads. Especially for a personal homepage, having a banner is a little tacky. The least expensive paid service (to get rid of the ads) is $34.95 and that's more than I'm willing to pay.

I'm happy with AWStats. It doesn't display as many values as Hitbox, but it's free, I can modify it if I want, and best of all, it doesn't slow down the loading of my page by adding an advertisement.
