no go on the voucher

Jason graciously gave me a ride to the aiport at the early hour of 4am, for which I am very grateful. I arrived in New Hampshire without incident, and already had a chance to get a $400 voucher and a first class flight to Manchester from Atlanta. I didn’t take it because I wanted to get home in the afternoon rather than the evening. Plus, my parents were already planning to pick me up at 3pm. It’s very likely that I’ll have another chance to get a voucher when I return to Salt Lake though, so all is not lost.

The security wasn’t any different at the Salt Lake airport, in spite of the article predicting the contrary. I checked two bags and after the standard swab tests I was sent on my way. At the security checkpoint I emptied my pockets and walked through without a beep. No complaints here.

  1. That’s just my luck. You always get the vouchers. I need some free flight miles.

  2. I had a pretty uneventful flight, too. I didn’t even have to check any bags, so I didn’t have to wait in any lines. No voucher opportunities, though.

  3. sometimes if you live like you do in NH you can even get transferred to another airport such as if your flight is to Boston you can end up in Manchester if there is room on that flight, or vice versa. good if you don’t have any checked bags.
