My new Yamaha Clavinova CLP120 was delivered today. I’ve been planning to buy a digital piano for a number of months because I want to improve my piano playing skills and this past Tuesday I finally bought one.
Some of the features I like best are the keyboard cover (like a real piano), weighted keys and the 50 built in songs. It came with sheet music for the songs so I can practice them and know how they should sound when played correctly. It also came with a pair of headphones so I can play at 3am without bother anyone. The next challenge is keeping a regular practice schedule.
Oh, I’m so jealous. I covet your digital piano.
You’re going to have to invite us over for Christmas carol singing now!

How’d you manage that challenge? Are you a virtuoso now?
» Comment by Renee on June 6, 2003 @ 9:20 pmI did pretty well at first, and as I passed it a few minutes ago I thought to myself, “You need to practice more.” Thanks for the reminder.

The piano is great. It sounds good, the keys feel just like a real piano and I’ve had no problems with it. A minor complaint is that when you play the 50 built-in songs randomly or all in succession, there’s no way to stop the song to find out which one it was. That’s about all I can think of that I don’t like.
I don’t remember the exact price, but I think it was $2200. I’ll have to check.
» Comment by dan on July 12, 2003 @ 9:30 pmI just checked my receipt and it was $1895 + tax, totalling $2020.
» Comment by dan on July 13, 2003 @ 1:30 amYour price is very good Dan. Won’t you mind to let us know your source. We plan to buy one for our girl.
