watch band aid

While soaring through the air to grab the rim of a basketball hoop, my watch fell off. I picked it up and attempted to latch it but a pin had popped out. After crawling around on the floor for a few minutes, I found the pin. I fastened the band again but it was very loose, so I used needle nose plyers to bend the latch, but it broke off. I am very fond of the watch (as well as economizing), so I opted to replace the band.

I found a list of Casio watch bands but they didn’t have my watch. As instructed on the web site, I emailed them at 6:37am. At 7:27am I received a reply. The response was so fast I assumed it said they had received my email, but it was a reply from a real person informing me that they had a replacement band for that watch. It would cost $12.50 plus S/H and I could order it by phone. At 8:15am I ordered the band and I was told it should arrive in less than a week. I was also told to have a good Thanksgiving, which I plan to do.

Instead of going to a jewelry store to look through generic watch bands that don’t match the color of my watch I was able to find and order a Casio replacement band in less than two hours. Bob Dylan was right, the times, they are a-changin’.
