Carolyn Snyder at IBM has listed 7 tricks that many web users don’t know about. It was a very useful read for me because I wouldn’t have called them tricks. I thought most of them were common knowledge for the majority of web users. It makes me wonder how many other things there are that I think everyone already knows about.

When I test a site this is a concern because I don’t have the perspective of an inexperienced user. That lack of perspective inhibits the quality of my testing. If I create a design that relies on the user knowing one of the points and a user doesn’t know about it, the site might appear broken or confusing and that would be bad.
