magnetic knives

The second blog meetup was fun, but there were only four people again. I was hoping to find some new blogs to read, but Matt, the new guy, (who has the dubious honor of being called “the new guy” at the second meetup, happens to be Maria’s husband) hasn’t posted since June 13, 2002.

The conversation spanned a myriad of topics, including Michael Jackson’s children, TV shows we like, synthpop bands, shoe sizes, male pattern baldness and ways to improve nightclubs. We had magnetic knives (I have no idea why they were magnetic) and the food was great too. In short, I enjoyed myself and it’s too bad more people didn’t make it.

  1. Sorry I couldn’t make it, but a friend that I hadn’t seen in a while came through town and was only in Salt Lake for one night. It sounds like everybody had a good time. Of course, you can hardly go wrong with Squatters. I love their food. I’m glad to hear that the group is adding new members, however slowly. Hopefully I will catch y’all at the next meetup.

  2. I’m glad to hear you are still planning to attend. If the people who come keep coming, we’re bound to increase in numbers.

  3. It sounded like you had more fun than what I went through.

  4. It’s posts like this one that make it seem like you don’t have much of a life.

Male pattern baldness, magnetic knives, Michael Jackson’s kids, etc?

  5. What do you mean? Where did you ever get the idea that I had one to begin with? :)

  6. What would you have had us talk about, Rick? I mean, it was a blogger meetup. That’s just the sort of random stuff that bloggers thrive on. And isn’t “going to the pub to hang out” a prime indicator for life-having-ness?

That being said, I really don’t have much of a life either. Somehow the time all gets spent though, even when I’m not on my computer. ;)

  7. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have much of a life either as evidenced by my reading this web site regularly. And I’m a WC3 playing fool to boot.

I just think posting it so that everyone can read it could be counter productive if you ever want to pretend you have a life. ; )
