Too bad I didn’t get to attend the Google Dance in San Jose. It took place during the Search Engine Strategies Conference in San Jose. Google figured “it was only natural to invite everyone to come up to the Googleplex to get acquainted and get down with the Google team. The Google Dance — named for the ranking shifts whenever Google rolls out a new index — drew more than 400 people who dined al fresco amid a landscape of shagadelic carpets and inflatable exercise balls.”
In the shower this morning I had an ironic epiphany of sorts. It’s odd that the bar of soap you use in the shower causes soap scum, requiring you to buy different soap to get rid of the soap scum. Wouldn’t it be more logical to make the bar of soap so that it doesn’t leave soap scum? It’s a case of corporate power in your very own shower, for if they followed my suggestion, the soap scum cleaning industry would be out of a job.
I often check my referrers to see how people are finding my site and sometimes I’ll see one and have no idea how they got here. That is the case with ShonenKnife.com. As far as I can tell, it’s totally unrelated to anything on my site, what with its Power Puff girls and all. I couldn’t find any links to that would explain the referral and frankly, I would be a bit concerned if there were any. It’s probably better if it remains an unsolved mystery.
