Aesop’s failure to unsubscribe my email address (even though the say it has been removed) forced me to take it to the next level. I sent a request to their support department with a message that was sure to get their attention.
I’ve tried to unsubscribe from your list several times in the past but have yet to succeed. After using the unsubscribe form, it states: “As per your request, you have been unsubscribed from Aesop.com.” This is nice of you, but I keep getting emails, which usually indicates that I have not in fact been unsubscribed, but remain on the list, which is of course frustrating.
I beg of you, please, for the love of all that is holy and good, remove my email address from any and all lists, databases, sticky notes, refrigerator magnets, voice mails, palm pilots, notepads, rolodexes, little black books, tape drives, white boards, floppy disks, stone engravings, business cards, Etch A Sketches, books, skywriting, crochet patterns and any other materials you may have where it might be listed.
I would be a very happy man if the only other email I recieve from Aesop during this mortal sojourn contains a single blessed solitary word (as long as it’s the truth): Unsubscribed.
The response was quick, but less personable than I had hoped. However, as long as they actually did unsubscribe me, it will have been worth my time.
