meetup.com seems like a good place to find people with similar interests. I don’t know how they’re going to manage to make money though. I don’t think businesses will keep paying to have people meet at their establishments. Once people decide on a place to meet, they’ll probably keep coming with or without the site. Then again, I could be wrong.
The makeout club is a site where you can, and I quote, “Meet people like you and get your freak on with them.” If that doesn’t get your mouse a’clickin’ to the site, nothing will. You may not find the type of people you want to meet, but at least take a look at some of the entries. It’s nothing like the typical online singles community I was expecting based on the URL.
I’ll pass on the ” Make Out Club ” for now :P
Actually, that site didn’t seem to be at all what I thought it was going to be. I figured, hey, it’s another ncmo.org, where you find people you’ve never met before to make out with. But it seems to be more of a way for people to get hooked into the indie music scenes in their areas. Apparently the name of the site comes from a song by a band called ‘Unrest’.
I find this pretty interesting, since I listen to a lot of indie music that not many people I know really like. Dan can attest to that, I’m sure!
