I just read in the news headlines that the charges against Dmitry Sklyarov have been dropped and he’ll be able to go back to his family in Russia. The DMCA is excessively restrictive and I’m glad to see that some people are beginning to see that. Hopefully this progress will continue until we are able to freely exchange data without corporate monoliths wrecking it for the consumer.
